Troi awakens to find herself on board the Imperial Romulan Warbird Khazara, surgically altered and disguised as a member of the Tal Shiar. She has been kidnapped from a conference to play a role in a plan by the Romulan resistance (established in Unification: Part One and Unification: Part Two) to exfiltrate several important persons to Federation space.
