Ranma tells his mother about Akane sleeping with P-chan, and she is upset enough to demand that he honor the seppuku contract. Fortunately, Hild sends Mara to rescue Ranma at the last moment, with orders to keep him safe and bring him around to their way of thinking. So Ranma ends the night by moving into an apartment with Mara.
