Straw Death

Kirk has lost an arm and been grounded as a result. I believe it was in Best Destiny that a young Kirk encounters a Starfleet officer with one arm--she simply had to demonstrate that she was able to perform her duties, even with her handicap. Times have changed.

Also, McCoy has died.
