I believe that 'the Baggins method' is the best euphemism for theft that I've ever heard.
Printed following this article (in Spockanalia) is a paragraph from Sandy Deckinger once more connecting Vulcans with cats. In part: "Mr. Spock's ears meet the requirements set by the Cat Fanciers Society of America for the Abyssinian breed of feline."
