Superman
#1
(2011-11)
Superman needs no introduction, I guess. We've seen him so far in Superman Versus the City of Tomorrow, and briefly in Justice League, Part One, In The Dark, Part One: Imaginary Women, and Last Daughter of Krypton. These seem to occur at fairly different times (we know that Justice League, at least, occurs years earlier), so where will this comic put us? Looks like we're well into Superman's career. The old Daily Planet building is being demolished, because the DP has been bought by another organization--one not known for its scruples. Clark isn't happy with this. Clark seems to be pining for Lois, but she doesn't know it, and doesn't seem to care for him, especially--they're friends, I guess. Anyway, the story of this one is of a strange fire that, rather than burning things, actually converts them into fire. There's more to it than this, but it's not too clear what's up. Fairly interesting story. It's written by George Perez, so I think I can expect good things of it.
