Superman

Clark has volunteered to drive Lois to Brentville, a sleepy little town where she intends to spend a quiet vacation. Very sleepy, as it turns out--all its citizens are asleep. It transpires that a scientist who lived nearby was working on a new anesthetic gas, with an aim toward giving it to the military, but his assistant was secretly a spy, intent on stealing the formula. Lois and Clark are arrested by the sheriff of a neighboring town, who mistakenly believes that they are responsible, but Superman is able to escape and rescue the scientist, and it all works out in the end.
