Kimura is in love with Kawashima Manaka, the losing heroine of the romcom that is their world. So, he tries to help her achieve happiness by getting her childhood friend to fall in love with her.

Actually, his advice doesn't really seem to work, and by the end Manaka very much appears to be falling for him. Maybe they aren't actually in a romcom world? Or maybe it's not that kind of story.
It could be nice to see this one continued.
