Sepek, a childhood bully of Spock's, visits the Enterprise as part of a science mission. Age has not improved his opinion of Spock. During planetside investigation, while Spock is aboard the ship, Kirk, Sepek, and the rest of the away team are transported unexpectedly to the planet's moon. They cannot survive there long. Kirk contacts Spock mentally and he effects a rescue.
