The Storm Dragon, Veldora

Mikami Satoru is a lonely, 37-year-old businessman. He is fatally stabbed while out with a co-worker, and his dying thoughts are (mis-) interpreted in a way that causes him to be reincarnated as a slime with some unique skills.

Waking, he finds himself without senses except touch, able to absorb the flowers or other things he finds around him. He meets the Storm Dragon, Veldora, who has been imprisoned in the same cave into which he was reincarnated. Veldora has been suffering from a lack of companionship, so the two become friends.
