Dear Earthling: Cosmic Correspondent

A children's book, recommended for ages 8-11, about an alien who is writing to an Earthling in order to get his Cosmic Correspondent merit badge. In his letters, he tells a little about his life and an adventure he has at space camp. It's intended to be humorous, many of the jokes being simply silly names for the alien versions of things, like 'sloshing machine' for 'washing machine', odd foods like creens, which taste like a mix of lemon and chives, or very Earth-like funny interpersonal situations.

It's not a bad book, but I don't think it has much to offer older readers.
