A Case of Heart Failure

In the past month, eight rich men have died, leaving everything to some ne'er-do-well relation. Irene and Alan both find this suspicious, and investigate, Irene with the aid of Doiby, and Alan as the Green Lantern.

It turns out that a criminal called 'the spider' has invented a drug that allows him to hypnotize a person, and then kill them as if by heart failure. He has been contacting the dishonest relatives of wealthy men, offering to use the drug to turn things in their favor--for a price.
