A group of criminals, "the black gang", is mugging people attending nightclubs, and worse still, the Planet is being scooped on the crimes by another paper. Lois and Clark go undercover (Lois with her hair bleached blonde, and Clark without his glasses) at a night club to ferret out the truth. It turns out that the reporter for the other paper organized the gang and is able to scoop the Planet by sending in his reports before the crimes had even been committed.
