Clark gets an assignment: "Doris Laurey, daughter of the late wealthy coal magnate, and now under the guardianship of her uncle, has just come of age and inherited the Rich Laurey coal mines!" She intends to run them herself. Doris is refusing inquiries from the press, so Lois and Clark go in undercover as students.
It's the last we see of Lois, but Clark gets himself kicked out and returns as Superman. He uncovers a plot by Doris's uncle to kill her and take over the mines. He rescues her and turns her uncle (and his co-conspirator) over to the police.
