Our protagonist, Jane, arrives at a meetup with her friend. The gathering is for players of The Game, a sort of role-playing endeavor like Big Brother starring characters from anime, literature, and other media. Jane has been playing the role of Catherine, and has come to the meetup to meet Ben--Heathcliff.

In short, Ben is a jerk and the letters from Heathcliff that Jane so admired were actually written by Ben's friend Noah, in a Cyrano-de-Bergerac-inspired plot you can see coming from the very page on which the two are introduced.

A decidedly average story.
