Doing Philosophy: A Practical Guide for Students

Took me a while to finish this. Fundamentally, a good book, but a bit dull, particularly since I'm not actually a student. The parts that were specifically about philosophy were nice and interesting, but the more general advice (listen to the feedback your teacher gives you, be careful not to plagiarize, familiarize yourself with your library, be really careful not to plagiarize...) that applies to any sort of student was boring. Too, it seems to me that most of that advice would be pretty obvious to any student who was engaged enough to bother with the book.
