Haly's Wish

Nightwing's confrontation with the mysterious assassin ends abruptly. He has scarcely returned to his apartment when Raya shows up, telling him that she needs to get to Atlantic City ASAP. He takes her there on Bruce's jet, and she reveals that this was a ruse--in fact Mr. Haly wanted to see dick right away, because he is dying. When Dick arrives, Haly reveals that he knows that Dick is Nightwing, then hands over ownership of the circus to Dick, saying that it would have been his parents', so it's rightfully his. After Dick leaves, the assassin arrives and tortures Haly into revealing that Dick is Nightwing, then he lures Dick back. They fight and he escapes with Haly, who tells him, just before he dies: "S-sorry, Dick... so sorry... it's all my fault... They're... trying to kill us because of the secret... About what the circus... really is. The answers... in the heart of it, kiddo... answers in... the heart..."
